PACKRAFTING: Introduction to Whitewater

Take your first steps into the world of whitewater with this intensive 5-day course. You will learn river reading, paddling techniques, safety, basic rescue, and decision-making on the river, developing the necessary skills to navigate with confidence.

We will start on Class I rapids and gradually progress to Class II, with the possibility of tackling Class III sections depending on your progress and river conditions.

    Immersed in Vicente Pérez Rosales National Park, the Petrohué River is internationally known for its crystal-clear and turbulent waters. It originates in Todos Los Santos Lake and flows freely before emptying into the Reloncaví Estuary towards the Pacific Ocean. Adventure tourism activities such as rafting and packrafting, kayaking, and fly fishing are popular here.

Do I need prior experience?

No. Our activities are designed for people embarking on their first adventure as well as for those with prior outdoor experience.

Is there a minimum age to participate?

The minimum age may vary depending on the activity. You will find this information in the description of each service. If you still have questions, please write to us before booking, and we will help you with all the information.

How can I book?

You can book directly through our website or by messaging us on WhatsApp so we can help you with dates, availability, and any questions.

How far in advance should I book?

We recommend booking at least 3 days in advance, especially during high season and on weekends, as spots are limited. For last-minute bookings, you can contact us and we will check availability.

What if it rains?

Often, rain is part of the experience, and activities proceed normally. They are only suspended in the event of extreme weather conditions that could affect safety.

Can I cancel my reservation?

Yes. We understand that sometimes plans change. Cancellations or modifications must be made in advance to properly coordinate the activity.

We recommend reviewing our cancellation policies when booking or writing to us directly for assistance with your specific case.

What happens if the minimum number of participants is not met?

Some activities require a minimum number of participants to be carried out safely and operationally. If the minimum number is not reached, we will contact you in advance to offer you a rescheduling, a similar alternative, or a corresponding refund.

Cancellations and Refunds Policy

Cancellation and Refund Policy

At Nómada Chile, we plan each experience in advance, coordinating guides, transportation, equipment, and logistics to offer a safe and high-quality activity. Therefore, we ask you to review our cancellation policy before making your reservation.

Cancellations made by the participant:

  • Cancellations notified more than 3 days in advance of the activity date will be entitled to a 100% refund of the amount paid.
  • Cancellations made 2 days before the activity will be entitled to a 50% refund of the amount paid.
  • Cancellations made less than 24 hours in advance, as well as no-shows on the day of the activity, will not be entitled to a refund.

No-show policy:

Due to logistical planning, slot reservations, guide coordination, and associated operating costs, reservations marked as No Show will not be entitled to a full or partial refund.

It is each participant's responsibility to:

  • Review the information sent after booking.
  • Arrive at the meeting point at the indicated time.
  • Account for possible delays due to traffic, weather conditions, or personal unforeseen events.

If you are unable to attend, we recommend informing us as far in advance as possible to evaluate alternatives, which will be subject to availability and current cancellation policies.

Nómada Chile reserves the right to start activities at the scheduled time to ensure the experience and safety of all participants.

Rescheduling:

We understand that unforeseen events may arise. Provided there is availability, reservations can be rescheduled at no additional cost if the request is made at least 72 hours in advance.

Requests made outside this period will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis and will be subject to availability.

Cancellations due to weather or safety conditions:

The safety of our participants is our priority. If weather conditions, river flow, or other external factors pose a risk to the activity, Nómada Chile may modify, reschedule, or cancel the experience.

In these cases, participants may choose to:

  • Reschedule the activity for a new available date.
  • Receive a full refund of the amount paid.

Cancellation due to minimum number of participants:

Some activities require a minimum number of participants to be carried out safely and operationally viable.

If the required minimum is not met, Nómada Chile may reschedule the activity or cancel it. In this case, the participant may choose between:

  • Reschedule for a new available date.
  • Receive a 100% refund of the amount paid.

Refund process:

Refunds will be processed through the same payment method used to make the reservation.

Accreditation times may vary depending on the bank or payment platform used by the participant.
